Williston Park is a village in Nassau County, New York, United States. The population was 11,277 at the 2010 census. Williston Park is located on the North Shore of Long Island, just east of Mineola and west of Albertson. It is considered part of the Greater Roslyn area, including East Williston and Flower Hill. The village was founded in 1834 by James Ackerly Williston. The village has a rich history and is home to many historical buildings and sites. The land that would become Williston Park belonged to the Matinecock Native Americans. In 1667, the land was purchased by English settlers from them and divided into three large estates. One of these estates eventually became Williston Park. The first schoolhouse in Williston Park was built in 1834, the same year the village was founded.
