Glen Cove is a city located in Nassau County, New York, on the North Shore of Long Island. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 26,622. The area that would become Glen Cove was first settled by the Matinecock Native American tribe in the 1600s. In 1668, the English took over the land and granted it to the towns of Hempstead and Oyster Bay. In 1784, the area was officially incorporated as the Village of Glen Cove.
